The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Toolroom Technician to join our manufacturing team in Keighley.

The role is responsible for ensuring precision tools, cutters, special guides, holding devices and production jigs are maintained, repaired, cleaned and ready for planned production runs.

You'll work closely with Production, Planning and QA/Technical teams to ensure tooling is available when required, repairs are completed to the correct specification and production targets are achieved.

What You'll Do

•  Repair, refurbish, clean and maintain production tooling, cutters, guides and holding devices.
•  Maintain and repair jigs used on Apron machines, arranging replacement where required.
•  Manage tooling and associated equipment breakdowns effectively.
•  Ensure tools are prepared and available for planned production and changeovers.
•  Liaise with Planning and Production to prioritise tooling requirements and support production targets.
•  Work with the Production Manager and QA/Technical teams to ensure repairs are completed on time and to specification.
•  Order spare parts and consumables in line with company purchasing procedures.
•  Maintain accurate tool service logs and maintenance history.
•  Identify tooling, equipment and training requirements.
•  Contribute to continuous improvement across production tooling and jigs.
•  Maintain high standards of 5S, housekeeping and workplace organisation.
•  Communicate priorities and any issues effectively across the team.

What You'll Bring

•  Previous experience in a toolroom, tooling, engineering or manufacturing environment.
•  Practical experience repairing, maintaining or refurbishing production tooling and equipment.
•  Good understanding of tooling, jigs and production equipment.
•  Ability to prioritise work effectively in a busy production environment.
•  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to Right First Time standards.
•  Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production, Planning and QA/Technical teams.
•  Ability to work flexibly across machines, roles and departments where trained.
•  Good understanding of Health & Safety, quality and 5S/housekeeping requirements.
•  Comfortable completing accurate paperwork and using company IT systems.

Key Responsibilities & Standards

Safety, quality and accuracy are central to the role. You'll be expected to work in line with company Health & Safety and Quality procedures, follow required PPE and hygiene standards, and maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.

You'll also be expected to identify and raise issues promptly, contribute ideas for improvement and ensure tooling and equipment are maintained to the required standard.
