The Opportunity

IQA Group is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of divisional management accounting, financial control and UK tax compliance.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and driving process improvements across the finance function.

What You'll Do

•  Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for designated business divisions.
•  Maintain oversight of purchase, sales, fixed asset, depreciation and general ledgers.
•  Produce weekly aged debtor and invoicing reports.
•  Manage and reconcile HMRC ledgers and support UK tax compliance across VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, PAYE, import and expatriate tax.
•  Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
•  Manage multi-currency reporting, FX exposure, intercompany recharges and associated journals.
•  Support lease accounting and monthly payroll journals.
•  Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers, including supporting audit schedules and transfer pricing requirements.
•  Complete required ONS surveys and statutory reporting.
•  Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting and efficiency across the finance function.
•  Provide clear financial information and guidance to non-financial stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

•  AAT Level 4 minimum, or part/full qualification through ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
•  At least 5 years' experience in management accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
•  Strong practical knowledge of UK tax compliance, including VAT, CIS, PAYE and Corporation Tax.
•  Strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
•  Advanced Excel skills, with confidence in financial modelling and data analysis.
•  Experience using finance ERP systems such as SAP, Scala or SIS AP.
•  Excellent analytical, organisational and time-management skills.
•  Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
•  A proactive approach to process improvement and financial control.
